    Guadalajara Jalisco is the home of the mariachi.  A musical form dating to the 19th century, mariachi music melds the instrumentations of the European colonials with rural Mexican and hacienda culture.  Evolving from son jalisquense, the mariachi group consists principally of two violins, a harp, and various guitars.  Representing the rural and hacienda
